4 E-mail Letter, from Ron Wiedmann <berean1711@cableone.net> dated 13 January 2003. My name is Ron Wiedmann. I am a descendant of Jacob Wiedmann (1833-1907). I was doing some Internet searching and discovered your web site on which Jacob is listed.
You list his DOB as 6 December 1833, which agrees with my information, although I don't know where I got it.
You list his POB as "Grosz Liebanstal, South Russia." That should be Grossliebental, Ukraine, Odessa District. GL was located southwest of Odessa a short way inland from the Black Sea.
You also show his date of emigration as April 1890, which I got from his son's listing (Jacob J.) in the 1951 Venturia Jubilee book (p. 50).
