Callaghan, E.B, Documentary History, State of New York, 1849; Vol 1, p.305. This is another reference to a third son of Jan. It also indicates that he was already married and had 2 children. As the other children didn't marry until after 1690, I assume that he was the oldest, and thus was named after his grandfather.
