FUNERAL FOR MRS. STORY CONDUCTED SUNDAY, DEC. 10

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, December 10, at 2:30 o'clock in the afternoon at Palm Funeral Parlors, Escondido, for Mrs. William C. Story, 46, who died last Thursday, December 7, at Vauclain Home, San Diego. Rev. Arthur F. Wahlquist officiated. Interment took place at the Odd Fellows cemetary, Fallbrook, the same afternoon. Mrs. Story had been in ill health for the past three years. She had gone down to the home the Monday before her death.
Lena Ruopp was born in Bloomington, Nebraska, May 21, 1887, the daughter of Chris and Minnie Ruopp. She attended grammar and high school in that city. On April 19, 1908, she was married to William C. Story in Bloomington. The first year after the marriage they lived in Culbertson, Nebraska. The family lived 11 years in Raymond, South Dakota, where four of the children were born; one year in Ontario, California, and the last 13 years of Mrs. Story's life in Fallbrook, where two children were born. She was an active member of the Presbyterian church and the Methodist Woman's Aid.
Mrs. Story is survived by her husband; five sons, Clarence, Harold, Chris, Earl, and Ervin; daughter, Eleanor May, all of Fallbrook; her parents, Naponee, Neb.; brother Chris Ruopp, San Diego; Sisters, Mrs. Ella Sindt and Mrs. Marie Ammon both of Naponee, Neb.
