NOTE: Eugene was the youngest son of Jeremiah and Sarah Jane HOKE COPENHARVE. This census was taken in June of 1900; Eugene's mother Sarah died in April of 1900. According to the 1880 census, Eugene was born June 1879, so we have a discrepancy between the 1880 and 1900 censuses. Eugene was boarding with William S. Baker and family. This is the last piece of information I have about Eugene.

NOTE:  The 1885 Nebraska state census has two other sons enumerated with Jeremiah and Sarah -- Charley and Edwin.

Using the 1880 census available on the LDS website at http://www.familysearch.org/ I was able to find Edwin in the 1880 census. enumerated with another family. I still have not found Charley in the 1880 census.

At the time that I extracted this census data, I did not know who the WALBURN family who was enumerated with Jeremiah and Sarah were.  After I received a copy of Jeremiah's obituary, I found listed as a survivor, his daughter Mrs. Walburn.

The Jeremiah I am tracking was born 28 Apr 1838 (according to a Wyuka Cemetery extract); the Jeremiah in this census was born about 1838 based on his age at the time of the census. Also, the Jeremiah whose line I am tracing was a Civil War veteran who was with Company C, 131st Pennsylvania Infantry. According to information I found on the web, Company C was comprised of volunteers who were from Northumberland County, Pennsylvania.

HTML / CSS Validation
The only reason W3C Markup Validation Service http://validator.w3.org/ does not successfully validate this page is because I am using the color="blue" atribute for the <hr> (horizontal rule) element.  Normally the horizontal rule displays a grey horizontal line.  All of the horizontal division lines on this page display in a blue color that compliments the page design.  I am leaving the code as is for now, because I have not found an acceptable alternative; e.g., using a cascading style sheet with the border-top-style or border-bottom-style on a <div> element suggested on one HTML coding page.
