From the Columbus (Nebraska) Telegram, 6-30-1916 Andrew Paprocki Services for the late Andrew Paprocki, whose death occured last Friday morning, were held at St. Bonaventure's church Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. Fr. Hilary conducted the Mass. It was one of the most largely attended funerals held in Columbus in recent years, several hundred relatives and friends gathering from all parts of the county to pay their last respects to a Platte county pioneer. Mr. Paprocki was a native of Galicia, having been born there, December 8, 1833. In 1857 he married Mary Galus. They came to this country in 1874, locating on a farm near Columbus. Two years later they homesteaded on a farm at Tarnov. Mrs. Paprocki passed away fifteen yrs. ago, shortly after they had retired from the farm and moved to Columbus. In 1902 Mr. Paprocki married Victoria Zabawa, who with his three sons and five daughters, survives him. The sons and daughters, all of whom were here to attend the funeral are Charles and John of Tarnov; Joseph Paprocki of Genoa; Mrs. Katie Zipper of Silver Creek; Mrs. Victoria Kiolbasa of Genoa; Mrs. Josephine Trembacz of Chicago; Mrs. Mary Lassek of Polk county. Mr. Paprocki had been in ill health for ten years and was practically an invalid for the last seven years, due to a stroke of paralysis.
