Following is some of the data I found using the resources at the W.
Dale Clark Library in downtown Omaha,
Nebraska, and records from Ancestry.com
I first checked the Omaha city directories to see when Albert and Mary
were last listed.

printed every year; 1931 was the first year that spouses were listed
The genealogy room at the downtown library in Omaha has a large card
catalog file with obituary clippings. I checked the file for
Albert and Mary's obituaries before attempting to find
them in the microfilmed newpapers. Luck was with me, as I found a
card filed for each of them.

her sister Anna Pearl DOLEN married John Herman BRUER; and her sister
Margaret married Frank KAMLOTH.

I pulled the microfilm reel for November 1932 to see if I could find
any mention of the car accident that Debi wrote about in her
e-mail. I found a photograph of the GAREY car and a short
paragraph about the accident in the 20 November edition. Here is
a digital photo of the microfilmed article.

Wreckage of Death Car
This is the wreckage of the auto of Albert R. Garey, 2719 Vane St.,
after a collision early Sunday at Turner Blvd. and Farnam St., in which
Mrs. Garey was killed and Garey was critically injured. Mrs.
Garey was hurled through the windshield by the impact. The other
auto was driven by R. P.Encell.
Mary's obituary shows she was interred at Holy Sepulchre
cemetery. The downtown library has microfilmed indices of burials
at Holy Sepulchre, but I did not find entries for either Albert or
Mary. I will be doing some further checking to see if I can
locate where they are buried.
Mary's mother, Mrs. Mary DOLEN, was named as a survivor, and also a
sister, Miss Margaret DOLEN. From this I surmised that Mary's
maiden name was probably DOLEN.
Debi wrote that Albert and Mary were married in 1930. While I was
at the library, I searched the microfilmed Douglas County
Nebraska marriage index to see if I could find their marriage record,
but did not locate one.
After I returned from the library, I started looking for Albert
