obituary of Electa Holmes Hunt "Electa Holmes was born in Onandaga, N. Y., May 7, 1811. She moved with her family to North Bloomfield in 1827. She was married to Mansfield Hunt January 4th, 1832. He died April 30, 1870. They had eleven children, seven of whom, six sons and one daughter, survive. They had twenty-two grandchildren, all of whom survive, and six great-grandchildren, all living. Two of the sons, Arthur and Barrett, were soldiers in teh civil war, the former having had an experience in Libby Prison of considerable duration. Mrs. Hunt died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ellis, in Honeoye Falls, after a long and trying illness, on Sunday evening, June 4th. She was a faithful wife and mother and had the kindest attention from her children and grand children during her declining years, and especially from her surviving daughter, whose untiring devotion is worthy of the highest commendation. There were within speaking distance of her home five persons who average ages were over 84 years. These are William Tring, father of W. H. tring, aged 88; Benson Tompkins, aged 86; REv. L C. Browne, aged 83; the deceased, aged 82, and Schuyler Earl, aged 82. The surviving members of her family are Elston, William and Sidney of North Bloomfield. Arthur and Mrs. S. Ellis of Honeoye Falls, Barrett of Rochester, and Frank of Albion, Mich. The funeral was held form teh North Boomfield Church on Tuesday at 4 p.m., Rev.
