TEXAS SHEET CAKE Betty Cochran
(one of my grandmotherís [Loretta McFeaters] friends; my mother [Susan Gredler] always makes this cake)

1 c. margarine 2 c. sugar
1 c. water 1/2 tsp. salt
4 Tbsp. cocoa 2 eggs
1 tsp. soda 1 c. sour cream
2 c. flour

Bring margarine, water and cocoa to boil. Add flour, sugar, and salt. In a large bowl mix eggs, sour cream, and baking soda. Add this to first mixture and beat well. Pour into greased floured oblong baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Frost while cake is still warm. About 10 minutes out of oven.
