[NI110] "Susan was not married. She is dead, having lived all her life in Chambersburg. She was an earnest church worker and prominent in church and social movements of the town. During the burning of Chambersburg by the Confederate Army, she and her sisters, May and Juliet, helped to form a fire brigade and fought the fire in defiance of the rebel resistance."
