Ordered that a Committee be appointed to Consider of the most Effectual and Cheapest Method of Carrying Provisions to the Several Garrisons in the back Parts of this Province of the following Gentlemen, Viz., Mr. Laurens, Mr. Mazyck, Mr. Ralph Izard, Mr. Stobo, Mr. Daniel Crawford, Mr. Moultrie, & Mr. Poole. A Petition of Samuel Fayerweather, Rector of the Parish of Prince George Winyah, was presented to the House & read Setting forth as Viz. That your Petitioner being in a bad State of Health, by his Physicians is advised and Intends God Willing, to Depart the Province in hopes of Recovering the Same, and purposes to return to his Parish as soon as Conveniently he Can. And therefore humbly prays that this Honorable House will please to Continue his Salary for Such Term, during his absence, as to the House Shall Seem reasonable & as hath been usual in other Cases of the Like Nature, And your Petitioner Shall ever Pray. Resolved that the Salary of the reverend Mr. Samuel Fayerweather, Rector of the Parish of Prince George Winyah, be continued during his absence from this Province not Exceeding Eight Months...."
