No. 256. An Account of Thomas Harrison, Serjeant of the Independant Company at Keowee, for taking Care of Stores £15, Certified by John Chevillette, Not allowed. No. 257. An Account of John Chevillette for Money disbursed for the Public Amounting [to] £5662 wherein there is a Ballance due to the said Chevillette of £575:13:6. This is the Last Account of Mr. Chevillettes Laid before the Committee and the whole Amount of his Certificates & Accounts is £15430:17:6 which the Committee think is a vast Sum of Money to be trusted in the Hands of a Man who neither gives Security for nor is Sworn to the due Execution of his office.
