!BIOGRAPHY: Excert from the obituary of Eugene Isadore"E.I." ADDISON: "E. I. ADDISON
was the son of George W. and Arthemise (RICHARD) ADDISON. George W.
ADDISON was a native of Georgetown, South Carolina.  He removed to Louisiana early
in life, where he married.  He was for many years editor and proprietor of the Opelousas
Gazette, at Opelousas, one of the first papers published in that part of the state.
 He died in 1852. The mother of our subject was a native of St. Landry parish, Louisiana.
 She died in 1845."
