I'm looking for ANY Joel BAILEY b 1790's SC who could be the father of
Albert BAILEY b 1824 AL. Word of mouth has it that Albert's father was
Joel who lived
in Lowndes Co, AL. There is a Joel there in the 1850 census living with
a possible sister Elizabeth BUCKHOLTS or BUCKHALTS. This census claims
he was from SC and was born ca 1797. His wife's name was supposedly
Mahala ??. I believe his father was a William or John BAILEY who was in
Lowndes Co, AL in the 1830's. Or maybe they were his brothers. There was
also a Polly (probably Mary) BAILY in Lowndes Co in 1830 who could have
been his mother and a Nancy who might have been his sister-in-law. Are
any of these names familiar? Thanks.
