Subject: Re: New List "Long Canes" SC

A couple of weeks ago I posted a story printed in the Atlanta Journal Nov.
9. 1924. It was the story of Ann Calhoun, who was captured in a
massacre at Lone Cane in 1796 by the Cherokee Indians. The story was
related by Mrs. Tammy J. Marshall who was ninety three. She gave some names
who lived in Long Cane at the time of the massacre. Hammonds, Conways, Lus,
Washingtons, Balls, Tuslus, Strathers, and Garrets. I thought if you did
not have all of these names, you might want them for your list.
