Emma MITCHELL SALMOND (born ca 1820) had one child, Samuel "Sam"
MITCHELL (ca 1843), and lived in the Rafting Creek and Statesburg areas
of Sumter Co, SC. Emma may have ties to the Camden, Kershaw County
area, but that's a hunch. Around 1860, Samuel married Emeline/Emma ?
(born ca 1844). Together they had 17 children, 11 of which were born
between 1860 and 1883. All children lived in the Sumter Co/Clarendon Co
area unless otherwise noted:
