Hi,Can anyone help on this? I have at least 3 estates that should have
been settled in Sumter District b. 1843 that I could not find on the
indexes on the microfilm at the SC State Archives microfilm of the
county records and I felt I should have found many more release of
dower's than I found which, as the only earily source of marraige info
I can find on this family was frustrating.Any suggesstions?
Second I have a doc. giving power of attorney from John Dennis of Holmes
Co.,MS to Gower Dennis of Autauga Co.,AL in the matter of the estate of
Richard H. Dennis of Sumter Co.,SC.However I can find no record of the
estate in Sumter CO records.My question is could an estate be handled
From another district or county,even another state?
