Another bit of information here. I am not an authority, but based on my
research. Most of the Green(e)s who settled in SC before statehood were
From either NC or Va. There appeared to be some migration of the RI Greens
to NC and SC. The Va Greens for the most part appear to have entered Va
directly from the Port of Norfolk. SC native Greens came via the Port of
Charleston or Charlestown depending on the year. Lastly, native Green(e)s
who entered Maryland from the Port of Baltimore tended to migrate into Va
then NC and SC. Don't know to much about migration patterns for Green(e)s
into Tenn. Experts out there. Help out please as I am a novice. Correct me
please if wrong in my personal theories. Thanks.

About sixty-five families with the name of Green were in South Carolina in
