Subject: Re: Unacceptable sources per Colonial Dames XVII Century

I do not say it's neglect; if so, more than one organization is accepting
the identical source. I've used the Wilkinson book as a source for more
than one society!!!!

M. M. Wilkinson's book has been so well accepted, that I'm having
problems, even at the local level, to get folks to accept the fact that
it's nothing but one error after another. And I have included copies of
my proofs, made from the original records.

We're talking about a family whose progenitor in this country was in
PA>VA>OH, whose son was in NC. Maybe it's just a bit difficult to concede
that the necessary proofs are to be had at Franklin, St. Mary Parish,
LA!!!!! Probate records in LA are an excellent resource because this
state, unlike any other in the union, has forced heirship (or did!).
Unless one has dealt with LA inheritance laws, they're a bit difficult to
comprehend and many persons never do.
