For those of you searching for probate records in  Richland County, SC, you
might try interlibrary loan for this fabulous volume:

"General Index Court of Probate, Richland County, S. C., 1785-1955."

I saw it this week and did not note the compiler, but it might have been
Frances Ingmire.

I looked it up at the Richland County Public Library website and it did not
list the compiler, but said it was published by Peppercorn Press, 1998.
RCPL had it listed with a slightly different title:

"INDEX TO RICHLAND COUNTY, SOUTH CAROLINA PROBATE RECORDS, 1785-1955"  (The
wording of the title I first listed is the one I copied from the cover.)
