The Last Will and Testament of John Seitz

In the name of God Amen I John Sitz of the County of Lincoln and Stait of North Carolina Being very sick and weak But of perfect Mind and Memmory thanks be given to God Calling unto mind the Mortality of my Body and knowing that it is apointed for all men once to die I do make and ordain this my last will and Testament that is to Say principal and first of all I Give and Recommend my Soul unto the Hand Almighty God and Give it and my body I Recommend to the Earth to be Buried in a Decent and Christian Burial at the Discretion of Executors nothing Doubting but at the General Resurrection I Shall revive the Same again by the mighty power of God and as Touching Such wordly Estate Wherewith it hath pleased God to Bless me in this Life I Give and Devise and Dispose of the Same in the folling manner and form first I give to Sally my Beloved wife one cow one pot her sadle and her Little wheel and Bed all the Rest of the Household Goods and Smith Tools horses Cattle Hogs Sheep and Plantation is to be Sold and Equally Divided among her and the children to Vizt F(r)anny, Amy, Lucresy.

I appoint George Seitz and Jacob SB Seitz my whole and soal Executters in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and and Seal this 25 Day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven Hundred and ninty seven---
