Abstracts of NC Wills

In the will of one George Seitz, dated 28 April 1794, he gives all his property to his unnamed wife. He mentions his son-in-law, David Bullinger (Bollinger?).  It also mentions a title signed over to his son-in-law, that was witnessed by John Wilfong and Andrew Stockinger. The witnesses to the will were George Wilfong and Samuel Lehmon.

Does anyone know who this George Seitz was?


The will of Jeremiah Garner dated 30 Aug 1819, probated Oct 1819, mentions wife Mary and his  grand- daughter Mary M. Scites. Sons: William Garner, John Garner. also mentions the sons of William Garner, James and John (minors). Mentions his children Rebecka Scites, Mary Walker, Sarah Cannon, Amy Clifton. Executors were: son John Garner, son-in-law John Cannon. Witnesses: Catherine and John Hayes.

This Rebecca Garner married Jacob Seitz in Lincoln Co, NC on 1 Feb 1792. This Jacob appears to be the son of Jacob Seitz and Mary Clubb.


The will of George Rease in Lincoln Co. NC, dated 1783 , probated in 1792, there is mention of a John George Henry Seits. Have not found any further info on John George Henry Seits.


One Jacob Seitz, in a will dated 22 Oct 1764, and probated in 1792, mentions his Executors George Reese and Jacob Seitz Sr. He give his plantation to George and Henry Seitz.


The will of George Hager, dated 6 June, 1784, was witnessed by Peter Forney, Lemuel Saunders and Jacob Sides.
