JOHN SELF
Born 1762 in Amelia County, VA. He was a soldier in the Revolutionary War, in the Virginia Line in 1780 and 1781. He was also in the War of 1812. He was captured at Dudley’s defeat and disappeared. He apparently returned and died after 1832. He is probably related to Thomas who married Oney Ham. He m. 1809, Bathsheba Matthews. He went to Madison/Cumberland Counties, KY about 1809.
