8 Dec 1851, John W. WALTON of Marion Co., Iowa, purchases, for $50, 40 acres, Lot 13, SW 1/4 of SW 1/4, Section 16, Twp 75 R 18 W. This parcel was patented to Henry M. BEAVER on 27 Jan 1862.³

16 Jun 1853, John W. WALTON of Marion Co., Iowa to Titus NEAL of Marion Co., Iowa, $63, 40 acres, SW 1/4 of NW 1/4 of Sec 15 Twp 75 N R 18 W.⁴ [This is part of 80 acres purchased by John W. WALTON from State of Iowa 2 Jun 1851].

10 Nov 1854, John W. WALTON of Marion Co., to George W. EUBANK of Marion Co., Ten (sic) hundred and Eighty dollars, Lot 11 - NE 1/4 of SW 1/4 of Sec 16, Twp 75, R 18 containing 40 acres and NW 1/4 of NW 1/4 of Sec 15 containing 40 acres in the same Twp and Range.

13 Sep 1857, John W. WALTON vs. Lewis McKINNEY etal., the court finds that the plaintiff is entitled to the undivided 1/2 of the premises described as follows: Lot 3 and 6 being the E 1/2 of the NW 1/4 of Sec 16 and the N 1/2 of the NE 1/4 of SE 1/4 of Sec 9, also 9 8/100 acres off the southside of the NW fractional 1/4 of the NW fractional 1/4 of said Sec 3 and 16 92/100 acres off the N side of Lot 7 in Sec 3 all in Twp 75 N R 18 W containing 126 acres more or less; that defendant Sarah A. McKINNEY is entitled to the undivided 1/4 part of said premises; that defendant James K. KOONS is entitled to the undivided 1/4 part of said premises.

30 Sep 1865, George MOSHEIR & Angelina his wife of Marion Co., Iowa, to John W. WALTON of Marion Co., Iowa, $800, S 1/2 of NE 1/4 of SW 1/4 of Sec 17, Twp 75N, R 18W; also 20 acres in the NW pt. of SE 1/4 of SW 1/4 of Sec 15 T & R aforesaid.
