Grace Emma (Hubbard)
Booco
Funeral services
were held Saturday, September 24, at 1:00 p.m. at the Congregational
Church in Hayden, for Grace Emma Booco, 51. Mrs. Booco died at
St. Joseph Hospital in Denver on Wednesday, September 21, following
an illness of several months.
Grace Emma Hubbard
was born in Jet, Oklahoma on May 7, 1915. She was the daughter
of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Booth) Hubbard. The family moved
from OK to Johnson Mesa, NM for a couple of years, them moved
to Oak Creek, CO in 1924. Grace married William Gordon Booco on
April 20, 1935, and they raised 5 children.
Grace is survived
by three sons, Jim Zubal of Taylorsville, IL, Gordon Booco of
Hayden, and Duke Booco of Denver; two daughters, Iris Doolin of
Craig and Grace Booco of Denver; three sisters, Vivian Reay of
Denver, Margaret Raines of Oak Creek, and Lois Doyle of Paonia;
14 grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
Grace was preceded
in death by her husband Gordon, who died earlier this year; and
by her parents.
Reverend Melvin
Johnson of the First Christian Church in Craig officiating. Jack
Zahner was the soloist, and sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere"
and " Beyond the Sunset", accompanied by Mrs. Winnie
Carroll at the organ.
Pallbearers were
Bill Booco, Lawrence Booco, Harold Williamson, Rocko Gentile,
Monte Doolin and R.B. Gilbert.
Interment was
in the McCoy Cemetery at McCoy, Colorado.
