Nimrod Evans SHUMAN, son of Jehu SHUMAN and Mary Emeline SAMUELS, was born on 26 Mar 1847 in Henry Co., IN and died in Madison Co., IN on 5 Dec 1916. Religion: Old German Baptist Brethren, Minister.

He first married Mary SUFFIELD. They had one child:

On 15 Aug 1889 she first married James S (Dave) YORK. They had the following children:

Rosa second married Ben ANGLETON.

Rosa third married Caier SHIPLEY.

Nimrod second married Elizabeth JOHNSON. They had one child:

3.4.1.1b Noah SHUMAN. He was born on 18 Nov 1876 in Montgomery Co. OH and died in Madison Co. IN on 17 Feb 1907.

On 19 Dec 1901 he married Mary R SMITH. Born in Madison Co. IN. They had one child:

3.4.1.1b.1 Hazel Merle (1902-1912)

Nimrod third married Ella MANNING. She was born on 22 Jul 1862 in Montgomery Co. OH and died in Madison Co. IN on 18 Mar 1932. They had the following children:

3.4.1.1c Henry SHUMAN. Born on 23 Jul 1886.

On 31 Mar 1905 he first married Zella OTTINGER. Zella died on 6 Jun 1911 in Fall Creek Twp, Madison Co. IN. They had the following children:

3.4.1.1c.2 Glenna

Henry second married Rosa MORGAN.

3.4.1.2c Charlie SHUMAN. Born on 24 Apr 1889. Charlie died in Madison Co. IN on 28 May 1902.

3.4.1.3c Orpha SHUMAN. Born on 1 Mar 1891.

On 29 Aug 1918 she married Ezra CRIPE. They had the following children:

3.4.1.3c.1 Clyde
3.4.1.3c.2 Oris
3.4.1.3c.3 Herman

3.4.1.4c John H SHUMAN. Born on 7 Jul 1896.

On 25 Jan 1915 he married Elenora O GIFT. They had the following children:

3.4.1.4c.1 Mabel J (1915-)
3.4.1.4c.2 John H (1917-)
