Rites Sunday Native of Madison

Robbie Lee Brown Arrowood of Swannanoa died July 19, 1997. She was 85.

A native of Madison County, she was a seamstress for Bon Marche, Bells Traditionals and C. P. Clare Company and a charter member of Worldwide Church of God. She was a daughter of the late Herbert Bascombe and Trevia Silver Brown and wife of the late Clenard Arrowood who died in 1971.

Surviving are her daughter, Barbara Settle of Swannanoa; son, Joe Arrowood of Asheville; sisters, Minnie Belle Brown Wilson of Alexander, Estoy Brown Phillips of Mars Hill and Elizabeth Brown Hall of Garland Texas; brother, Herbert brown of Boone; six grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Monday in West Funeral Home. Burial was in West Memorial Park.
