Murray William Silver
SILVER, Murray William - 85, of Oakhill, Lunenburg Co., passed away March 7, 2001, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Oakhill, he was a son of the late William and Sadie (MacKay) Silver.
He was an honorary member of the Oakhill and District Fire Department. He was a member of Kiwanis Golden "K" Club and a member of the Senior Wheels Association. Throughout his life he was an active fiddler in the musical community.
He is survived by stepdaughter, Heather (Keith) Whitehead, Dartmouth; two grandsons; sisters, Louise (Bunty) Feindel, Oakhill; Joan (Buddy) Wile, Wileville; nephew, Jimmy Silver, Oakhill; various other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Marion; brothers, James, Harold; sister, Lina.
Visitation will be held 2-4, 7-9 p.m. today in Sweeny's Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Bridgewater, Rev. James Slack Jr. officiating. Interment to follow in Brookside Cemetery, Bridgewater. Family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to Senior Wheels Association, St. Paul's Lutheran Church or to any charity.
