Virginia (Onderdonk) Silver, 73, of Windsor, wife for over 50 years of Clifford E. Silver, Sr., died on Wednesday, (July 30, 2003) at St. Francis Hospital.

Born in Chatom, AL, daughter of the late John Robert Onderdonk, Sr. and Johnnie (Daniel) Onderdonk, she had lived in Windsor since 1961. Virginia had worked as a data processor at Combustion Engineering, Windsor. In her free time, she loved to read and spend time with her family.

Besides her husband, she leaves four sons, Clifford E. Silver, Jr. and his wife, Priscilla of California, Gerald Silver of Minnesota, John Silver of Suffield, and Stanley Silver and his wife, Tammi of Loomis, CA; a daughter, Sandra LaChapelle of Windsor; eleven grandchildren; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, John R. Onderdonk, Jr.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Volunteer Ambulance, P.O. Box 508, Windsor, CT 06095. Carmon Windsor Funeral Home has care of the arrangements.
