WOOSTER -- Claire E. Martin, 73, of Wooster, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at his home.

Graveside services will be Monday, March 26, at 1 p.m. at Reedsburg Cemetery, with Jenny Smucker officiating.

There will be no calling hours. McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Those who wish may make contributions to a charity of the donor's choice.

Claire was born April 20, 1933, in Wooster, the son of Harley and Olive (Croskey) Martin and married Betty L. Smith on July 10, 1955. She died Aug. 20, 1998.

He was a 1951 graduate of Wooster High School and served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He had been a record and specification analyst in product engineering at Volvo White in Orrville, retiring after 20 years of service, and was a member of Central Christian Church.

Surviving are a son, Victor (Pam) Martin of St. Johns, Kan., and daughters, Laurie Ann Martin and Christine Walton, both of Wooster; grandchildren, Jessica Holmes, Jennifer and James Bakerlis, Eric Walton and Brenna Martin; a great-grandchild; and a brother, William M. Martin of Texarkana, Texas.
