WOOSTER Carl Lewis, 77 of Wooster, died Saturday, Feb. 14, at Wooster Community Hospital.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster, with the Rev. William Valentine officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
Friends may call Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
He was born April 8, 1926, in Morris, W.Va., to Charles and Rebecca (Brown) Lewis and married Helen E. Berry on Oct. 15, 1960. She survives.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and worked at the Akron Brass Co. for 21 years, retiring in 1991. He enjoyed singing and playing the guitar.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are children, Rockford (Betty) Lewis of California, and Roger D. Lewis of Washington; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Coy Lewis of Glasgow, Kan.
An infant daughter and nine brothers and sisters died previously.
