Russell E. Miller, 89, of De Land, Fla., formerly of Orrville, died Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2000, after a lingering illness.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in Orrville.

Donations may be made to American Heart Association, Wayne County Branch, P.O. Box 267, Wooster 44691; or to Orrville High School Endowment Fund, 815 N. Ella St., Orrville 44667.

He was born Jan. 23, 1911, in Smithville to Eli and Amanda (Conrad) Miller and married Virginia A. Stebbins on Sept. 9, 1933 in Creston. She survives.

Other survivors include sons, Richard S. (Jan) Miller of College Station, Texas, Thomas S. (Nancy) Miller of Savannah, Ga., and Daniel S. (Becky) Miller of Tallahassee, Fla.; grandchildren, Sherry Wine of College Station, Texas, Shellie Cornelius of Kemp, Texas, Martin Norman of McKinney, Texas, David P. Miller of Lorain, Debborah Miller of Breckinridge, Colo., William B. Miller of Cincinnati, Jill and Andrew Miller, both of Tallahassee, Fla., and Laura Miller of Atlanta, Ga.; and a great-grandchild, Austin Miller.
