David H. Mangle
(August 1, 1933 - February 2, 2007)

Dalton - David H. "Red" Mangle, age 73, of 1788 Deerfield Ave., SW, Dalton, and formerly of Orrville, died at Affinity Medical Center, Massillon Campus, following a long period of declining health. He had resided at Altercare of Navarre, prior to admission to the hospital.

A graveside service with military rites will be held at Crown Hill Cemetery, Orrville, on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 11:30 AM.

David was born on August 1, 1933, in Orrville, the son of Robert W. and Elizabeth (Geiger) Mangle. He had attended both Orrville and Dalton schools. While serving in the US Navy he earned his GED. David served in the Navy for over thirty-three years, most of the time as an air traffic controller, and had traveled extensively during his tours of duty. Following retirement, he had worked in Baltimore, MD for the Baltimore Electric Company.

Surviving are a daughter, Cindy (Tony) Hauserman of Sedona, AZ; two grandchildren; nieces & nephews; a brother, Steve (Fran) Mangle of Greenville, PA; two sisters, Betty Green of Dalton and Judy Westfall of Wooster; and step - mother, Florence Mangle of Orrville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step- mother, Lillian Clark, a brother, Gary R. "Butch" Mangle, a sister, Coraly "Lee" Collins, and his former wife, Pam Mangle.
