ORRVILLE - Donald William Gauweiler, 86, of Orrville, formerly of Wooster, died Sunday, Feb. 12, 2006, at his residence.
Services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster, with the Rev. Eric Fairhurst officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be held.
Friends may call tonight (Thursday) from 6-8 at the funeral home.

He was born Oct. 4, 1919, in Wooster to George and Ethel Marie (Kiser) Gauweiler. He married Harriet Matheny on June 9, 1945. She preceded him in death on May 5, 1983.
Donald served in the Army Air Corps and was stationed in London during World War II.
He worked for United Telephone for 35 years, retiring in 1981.
He enjoyed bowling, stamp and coin collecting, fishing and photography.
Surviving are three daughters, Sally I. (Roger) Maas of Wooster, Linda M. (Larry) Turney of Shreve and Jennie L. (Charles) Bower of Wooster; grandchildren, Deborah J. (Ken) Miller, Robin E. (April) Maas, Tamara I. (Jason) Speicher, James W. (Maria) Turney, Charles W. Bower and Chad R. (Melissa) Bower; great-grandchildren, Kenny Allen Miller, Eric J. Miller, Matthew and Benjamin Maas, Blake, Morgan and Nicholas Speicher and Leigh Ann Bower; and sisters, Florence Blohm of New Philadelphia and Doris (Kenneth) Allenbaugh of Hayesville.
In addition to his wife, sisters, Margaret Gauweiler, Virginia Young and Evelyn Meyers, preceded him in death.
