STERLING -- Edward W. Maibach, 85, of Sterling, died Thursday, May 2, 2002, at Magnolia Care & Rehabilitation Center.

Services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Sterling United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lee Ann Dunlap officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Sterling.

Friends may call Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Gillman Funeral Home, Rittman and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Church, 13584 Kauffman Ave., Sterling 44276 or the Sterling Fire Department, P.O. Box 35, Sterling 44276.

He was born Feb. 3, 1917, in Sterling, to Isaac W. and Mabel (Perrenod) Maibach. His wife, Arlene G. Maibach died June 22, 2000.

Surviving are a daughter, Kaye Maibach of Sterling; a brother, Tug (Alma) Maibach of Sterling and a sister, Ruth (Don) Glessner of Sterling.

STERLING Edward W. Maibach, 85, of Sterling, died May 2, 2002, at Magnolia Care & Rehabilitation Center.

He was a co-owner of Maibach's of Sterling, and an Army veteran of World War II. He graduated from Sterling High School in 1934, and was a 50-year member of the Sterling Fire Department. He was also a member of the Sterling K. of P. Lodge, a charter member of Seville Kiwanis Club, and a member of Seville V.F.W., Wadsworth Eagles Lodge, Howard A. Bair Post 423 of the American Legion, and Moose Lodge 860 in Rittman. He was a charter member of Rawiga Country Club.

His wife, Arlene G. Maibach, died June 22, 2000. Surviving are daughter, Kaye Maibach of Sterling; brother, Tug (Alma) Maibach of Sterling; sister, Ruth (Don) Gles sner of Sterling. A brother, Paul Maibach, died on May 11, 2001.

Services Tuesday at 11 a.m., at the Sterling United Methodist Church, with Rev. Lee Ann Dunlap officiating. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery in Sterling.
