WOOSTER - Frank J. “Juice” Massaro, 91, of Wooster, died Sunday morning, June 15, 2003, at his home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Wooster, with Father Stephen Moran celebrant. Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

He was born Nov. 21, 1911, in Wooster to Sabatino and Giovonia (DeSalvo) Massaro.

He had served in the U.S. Army from Nov. 16, 1943 to March 17, 1946, receiving the American Theater Ribbon, E AME Theater Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star, Good Conduct Ribbon and the Victory Medal.

He had been the dockman for the former B&F Transfer Co. and had also worked for the Pennsylvania Railroad. He had been manager of the Lamplighter’s Club.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Lamplighter’s Italian Club and was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife, Gloria Keathley Massaro; children, Dennis P. and Judy of Dalton, Mary Ann Massaro of Wooster, Jeffrey L. and Deb of Holmesville and Gregory J. of Wooster; stepchildren, Bob Bell and good friend, Diane Rowland of Wooster and Perry and Teresa Bell of Santa Rosa, Calif.; 21 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. John (Lucy) Rogers of Wooster.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Virginia DiScipio Massaro, sons, Thomas A. and Stanley A. and brothers and sisters, Mary Rose, Steve Massaro, Carmen Massaro, Ange Noggle, Antionette Grande, Vincent, John and Joseph Massaro and Betty Massaro.
