ORRVILLE - Francis Joseph Wade, 83, 310 N. Elm St., died Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at Dunlap Memorial Hospital in Orrville.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville, with the Rev. Ethan Kallberg officiating. Burial will be at Apple Creek Cemetery, where military rites will be observed.

He was born Jan. 21, 1921, in Orrville to John and Edna (Moser) Wade and married Phyllis M. Miller on Sept. 26, 1943. She died June 13, 1991. On Sept. 25, 1992, he married Barbara (Sprunger) Good. She survives.

He was a 1938 graduate of Apple Creek High School and was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II, serving as a corporal. He was a welder at Metal Specialties in Orrville in the 1950s and for 35 years worked at the Air Maze Corp. in Bedford.

He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3446 in Orrville, the Marine Corps Association and enjoyed woodworking.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are children, Susan (Tom) Castellano of Pittsburgh, Pa., Chris (Tom) Denman of Big Creek, Ky., Georgia (Dave) Mesic of Massillon, Robert (Bonnie) Good of Dalton, Jim (Suzanne) Good and Mark (Belinda) Good, both of Orrville; 16 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; brothers, John (Ednamae) Wade of Fredericksburg and James (Mary Lou) Wade of Apple Creek; a sister, Pauline Frase of Orrville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his first wife, a sister, Dorothy Wade, died previously.
