George B. Nolt, 81, 4120 Swanson Blvd., No. 67, died Thursday, March 29, 2000, at Smithville-Western Care Center.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. Alan E. Nathan officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.

Friends may call Sunday from 6-9 p.m. at the McIntire, Davis and Greene Funeral Home with a Masonic Memorial Service at 5:45 p.m.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Zion Lutheran Church, 301 N. Market St., Wooster 44691 or to the 37th Division Veterans Association, 65 S. Front St., Room 432, Columbus 43215 or to the Wooster Noon Lions, c/o James H. Pitman, secretary, 8839 Fox Lake Road, Sterling 44276.

He was born Dec. 23, 1918 in Rittman to John B. and Mellie E. (Berg) Nolt and married Dorothy Zimmerman on Nov. 14, 1945. She survives.

Surviving in addition to his wife are children and spouses, Rebecca S. Nolt of Marietta, Barbara and Dean Cornwell of Palm Harbor, Fla., Sara L. and Bob Barstow and Connie J. and Dennis Kincaid, all of Wooster, Thomas J. Nolt of Tavernier, Fla. and Timothy C. and Cindy Nolt of Wooster; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild and brothers and sisters, Roy E. Nolt of Tacoma, Wash., Frances Maynard of Ludlow Falls, Ralph E. Nolt of Orrville, Walter L. Nolt of Smithville, Ruth Ann Sundberg of Alliance and Donald C. Nolt of Altamonte Springs, Fla.

A son, George R., brothers, Alton H., Glen R. and Herbert J. Nolt and sisters, Florence Kish and Mildred E. Conner, died previously.
