BARBERTON George J. Lieberth, 86, died Thursday, March 21, 2002.

A resident of Barberton for 84 years, he retired from Ohio Brass after 43 years of service, and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by wife of 62 years, Anna (nee Mattingly); children, Patricia (Richard) Postek of Barberton, Martha (Edward) Starr of Akron, Edward (Kathleen) of Bainbridge, Terry (Carol) of Cleveland, Mary (Steve) Bennett of Richmond, Va.; 14 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at the Campfield-Hickman-Collier Funeral Home, with Mass of the Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Burial at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery. Visitation TONIGHT, 5 to 8. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Augustine Endownment Fund. (Campfield- Hickman-Collier, 330-745-3161.)
