WOOSTER - Harold E. May, 83, of Wooster, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 2003, at West View Manor Nursing Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Stephen Moran officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Arrangements are being handled by McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, Wooster.

Born June 4, 1920, in Canton, he was the son of William and Bertha (Kipfer) May.

He served his country with the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was a mechanic and truck driver for Crown Steel for 25 years.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

Surviving are his wife, Rose (Bursani) May, to whom he had been married 62 years; daughters, Darlene May and Janet Morris, both of Wooster; three grandchildren; sisters, Hazel Himes and Ruth Lippert, and brothers, Herman and Raymond May, all of Canton, and Earl May of Pennsylvania.

Preceding him in death were his sisters, Florence Hopkins and Mary Smith, and brothers, Roy, Ralph and Glenn May.
