Wagner, Harold R.
WOOSTER - Harold R. Wagner, 75, of Wooster, went home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on Monday, Dec. 26, 2005, at his home.
A memorial service will be Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, at 7 p.m. at Church of the Saviour, 480 Fry Road, Wooster, with the Rev. Gerald Durham officiating. Private burial will be held at Fredericksburg East Cemetery.
There will be a time for visiting and sharing following the memorial service. McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, is handling arrangements.
The family suggests contributions be made to the Organ Fund in care of Church of the Saviour, 480 Fry Road, Wooster 44691, in his memory.
Harold was born Aug. 30, 1930, in Franklin Township, to Harry F. and Nettie (Cameron) Wagner and married Dolores J. Trogdon on Oct. 25, 1958, in Rittman. She survives.
He had served his country in the U.S. Army from 1954-56, and had farmed with his father and brothers for 36 years. He then worked as a salesman for Wayne County Farm Bureau, Dalton Equity and Orrville Tile Company, retiring from French’s Hybrids in Wakeman, in 2004.
He was an avid bowler and bowled in many leagues over the years. He was also a collector of Millersburg Carnival Glass and was active in the carnival glass association. He belonged to many carnival glass associations.
Harold was very active in his faith, being a charter member of the Church of the Saviour and serving on its dream committee to buy land for the new church. He belonged to a Bible Study Group and was an usher for many years.
His family meant the world to him, including his wife, Dolores; daughters, Joyce (Bill) Mondak of Wellington and Judie Wagner of Wooster; and grandchildren, Andrew and Katelyn Mondak of Wellington. His two brothers, Donald (Lois) and Wayne (Janice) of Wooster; sisters-in-law, Virginia Beaver Davis of California and Gloria June (Darrell) Anderson of Pennsylvania.
Nieces and nephews, Mark Beaver of Canton; Cherie (Eric) Van Wechel and their children, Hailey and Lauren; Kelley (Jim) Golondzineier and their children, Evan and Lindsay of California; Joe (Tammy) Beaver and their children, Megan, Mallory, Madison and Mayleigh of Arizona; Beth Anderson of Pennsylvania; Mary (Ed) Yablonski and their children, Jordan and Colin of Pennsylvania; Brad (Jill) Wagner and their daughter, Samantha of Orrville; Kathy (George) Horlacher and their children, Sarah, Travis, Megan of Mount Vernon; Sharon (Mark) Bucher and their daughter, Allyson of Wooster; and Steve Wagner of Canton.
His parents, a brother, Robert and in-laws, Muss and Ruth Trogdon of Rittman, died previously.
The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers, visits and assistance and most of all for being there when we needed them the most during Harold’s illness.
We love you and know that we can never repay you for the kindness you have shown our family. May God Bless each and every one of you.

Services for Harold R. Wagner, 75, of Wooster, were held Thursday. Military rites were performed by Wooster American Legion Post 68.
Pallbearers were Mark Beaver, Mark Bucher, Dan, Brad and Steve Wagner, Stan Starr.
Honorary pallbearers were Bill Rottman, Frank Hess, Gary Alsdorf, William Moore, Larry French, Tony Moore and Steve Maag.
