James E. Lawrence Sr., 79 of Meadow Drive, died Saturday, June 8, 2002, at the home of his son, from cancer.

Services will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home, 216 E. Larwill St., Wooster, with the Rev. Glenn Royer officiating. Burial will be at Wooster Cemetery.

Friends may call tonight (Monday) from 7-9 at the funeral home.

He was born Nov. 19, 1922, in Wooster to Otto and Florence (Kline) Lawrence and married Laura Syble Nimmons on March 18, 1946. She died April 9, 1992.

Surviving are children, James Lawrence Jr. and Gail (Gary) Killinger, both of Wooster and Judy Knox of Lewis Center; grandchildren, Jennifer Haines, Matthew Lawrence, Holly (Karl) Zoller, Eric Killinger and Natalie (Dan) Beddoes; and great-grandchildren, Taylor, Kyle, Austin, Hannah and Grace Zoller and Clara Beddoes.
