Joseph M. "Sonny" Magyar, 62, died Thursday, June 27, 2002, at Wooster Community Hospital.

He was born Feb. 4, 1940, in Marshallville to Joseph A. and Margaret (Ocsai) Magyar.

He is survived by wife of 35 years, Carolyn (Haught) Magyar; son, Joseph D. Magyar of Portsmouth; daughter, Terry Davis of Orrville; seven grandchildren; brothers, John of Sardis, George and Paul of Doylestown, Anthony of Canal Fulton, Michael of Massillon and James of Creston.

Funeral services will be Saturday 11 a.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home in Doylestown with Msgr. Bacher officiating. Burial will be at Chestnut Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call tonight (Friday) from 7-9 at the funeral home and Saturday from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
