DOYLESTOWN -- John R. Naglic, 85, of Doylestown, died Wednesday, March 21, 2007.

He was born March 7, 1922, in Dunlo, Pa., to John R. and Angela (Petrik) Naglic and was baptized Roman Catholic. He married Betty Ann Bush on June 24, 1949. She preceded him in death in 1997.

He was a lifelong resident of Doylestown and Barberton and retired from the Pittsburgh Plate Glass. A World War II Navy veteran, he was a member of Doylestown American Legion Post 407 and the Slovene Center. An avid golfer, he also enjoyed fishing, traveling out West and was quite proud of his Slovenian heritage. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and a friend to many.

In addition to his wife, Betty Ann Naglic, he was preceded in death by sisters, Carolyn Patti, Jean Horvath and Frances Horvath.

Surviving are sons, Steven (Susan) Naglic of Columbia, S.C., Frank (Cathy) Naglic of Durbin, W.Va., and a daughter, Nancy Naglic of Doylestown; grandchildren, Melissa (Andrew) Burns of Barberton, Paul (Jenny) Naglic of South Carolina, Bryan (Caroline) Naglic of North Carolina, John Pickering of West Virginia, Christopher Jourden of Doylestown and Frankie Naglic of West Virginia; and a great-granddaughter, Olivia Naglic of South Carolina.

Services will be Saturday, March 24, at 1 p.m. at Zak-Monbarren Funeral Home, 132 N. Portage St., Doylestown, with Father David McCarthy as celebrant. Burial will be at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, where military rites will be conducted.
