BURBANK -- Richard A. Lance, 77, of Burbank, died Saturday morning, March 24, 2007, at Cleveland Clinic Foundation, after a lengthy illness.
Services will be Tuesday, March 27, at 11 a.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston, with Pastor Tim Bleigh officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.
Friends may call Monday, March 26, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Richard was born Sept. 5, 1929, in Chatham to the late Howard and Janice (Clapp) Lance and married Zola Z. Zimmerman on Dec. 28, 1949. She survives.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1948-52, stationed at Fort Benning, Ga., and retired from Columbia Gas Transmission after 37 years of service.
He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church in Burbank and had been a Boy Scout leader for many years. He had made his home in Burbank most of his life and enjoyed model railroading, camping, gardening and his grandchildren.
Surviving in addition to his wife are children, Larry (Joanna) Lance of Glenmont, Johnny (Sherry) Lance of Burbank and Linda Lance of Wooster; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Gene B. (Mary) Lance of Marietta, Ga., and Joseph D. (Carol) Lance of Ashland; and a sister, Carolynn (Bill) Edwards of Burbank.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William.
