WOOSTER -- Ruth C. Lambert, 86, of Wooster, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2007, at West View Manor, Wooster.
Private services will be Monday, Dec. 10, at 1 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, Wooster with Pastor Clyde E. Ondrizek officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Gardens, where military rites will be observed.

Ruth was born Feb. 3, 1921, in Leighton, Pa., to Jack and Augusta (Rogal) Brennan and married Leslie Lambert on May 12, 1945. He died previously.
She was a graduate of Mount Sinai School of Nursing in Philadelphia, Pa., and served as a 1st Lt. in the U.S. Army Corps of Nursing during World War II. She was stationed in Liverpool, England.
She continued her career in nursing as a registered nurse and taught nursing at Mansfield General Hospital and Wooster Community Hospital, where she retired.
She enjoyed boating on Lake Erie, her pet Schnauzers and baking the most delicious cookies during the holidays.
Ruth will be deeply missed by children, George (Peg) Lambert of Wooster and John (Jill) Lambert of Ashland; grandchildren, John and Shane Lambert of Jacksonville, Fla., Seth Lambert CT1 U.S. Navy, Kelly Lambert of Madera, Calif., and Chelsea Lambert of Ashland.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a brother, George Brennan.
