WOOSTER -- Richard J. "Dick" Maynard, 73, of Wooster, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2003, at his home.
Private family memorial services will be held at McIntire, Davis & Greene Funeral Home in Wooster.

He was born Dec. 16, 1929, in Geneva to Ralph and Jesse (Johnston) Maynard and was married to Patricia (Mellen) Maynard for 51 years. She survives.
He was a 1947 graduate of Geneva High School and attended Ohio University and Mount Union College. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in Germany and was president of Maynard & Associates, a manufacturer representative firm.
He was a member of Elks Lodge 1346 and Ohio Historical Society, a 50-year associate of the Door & Hardware Association and a 35-year member of Wooster Country Club.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, George (Mary Ann) Maynard of Boston, Md., Patrick (Karen) Maynard of Columbus and Jim (Brenda) Maynard of Youngstown; and three grandchildren.
A brother, Ralph Maynard Jr., died previously.
