ORRVILLE - Robert W. Mangle, 90, 700 W. Fike Ave., died Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006, at Smithville-Western Care Center, Wooster, after a long period of declining health.
Memorial services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Orrville Christian Church, with Pastor Tom Ledford officiating. Cremation has taken place.

Robert was born May 29, 1916, in Smithville to Thomas D. and Augusta (Mast) Mangle and married Elizabeth Geiger on Sept. 28, 1935. She died in 1958. On May 29, 1959, he married Lillian Clarke. She died in 1988. Following her death, he married Florence Weaver on Aug. 25, 1989. She survives.
He had served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and had been a resident of the Orrville area all of his life, working as a carpenter.
He was a member of Orrville Christian Church, where he was a former Sunday school teacher.
He enjoyed boxing, hockey, fishing and hunting.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are children, David Mangle and Betty Green, both of Dalton, Steve (Frances) Mangle of Greenville, Pa., and Judie Westfall of Wooster; stepchildren, Bob (Denise) Weaver and John (Luanne) Weaver, both of Orrville, Wanda Clarke of West Salem, Treva Riggenbach of Naples, Fla., and Beverly Clarke of Forest City, N.C.; 18 grandchildren; 17 step-grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 16 step-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wives, children, Gary Mangle and Coralee Collins, a stepson, Thomas Clarke and brothers, Kenneth and Delbert Mangle, died previously.
