NORTON - Steve A. Mazey, 78, of Norton, died Friday, June 11, 2004, at Akron City Hospital, following an extended illness.
Services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston, with the Rev. Donald W. Kuntz officiating. Burial will be at Creston Maple Mound Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
He was born June 17, 1925, in Wadsworth, to Albert and Mary (Breznai) Mazey and married Beatrice “Bea” Uhler on Oct. 6, 1945. She survives.
He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He retired from Reiter Dairy following 35 years of service.
He had made his home in Norton for the past 56 years. He was an avid fisherman.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Dennis Mazey of Akron, Gary Mazey of Englewood, Fla. and Keith Mazey of Norton; a grandson; and a sister, Margaret Harter of Lodi.
Three brothers and three sisters died previously.
