WOOSTER - William “Bil” Laper, 70, of Wooster, died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2005, at the Wayne County Care Center.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Roberts Funeral Home, Sherwood Chapel, with the Revs. Russell King and Joe Routh officiating.
Friends may call Monday from 9-10 a.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Greater Wayne County, 2525 Back Orrville Road, Wooster 44691, or to the Wayne County Care Center, 876 S. Geyers Chapel Road, Wooster 44691.
He was born Sept. 28, 1935, in Wooster to William K. Laper and Ruth L. (Avery) Laper Mann and married Anita Grove on Dec. 11, 1964. She died in 1995.
He graduated from Wooster High School and served in the U.S. Marines.
He worked for Wooster City Schools as a custodian and attended Paradise Church of the Brethren. He enjoyed the outdoors and his family and friends.
Surviving is a sister, Amelia Holm of Apple Creek, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A sister, Andrea Amos, died previously.
