After enlisting under capt M Mullins in Lancaster County ,PA we marched on the Philidelphia, PA thence to Hackensack, NJ Headquarters US Army under G. Washington. I was discharged in Lancaster, PA in February 1779.
I then entered under Capt. Brisbaux at Moores Tavern in June 1779. We were at Philidelphia, Trenton, Princeton, and Kingston. We crossed the river at New Brunswick and served at NY State Army HQ. I was discharged in Lancaster PA In September/October 1779. I then entered the Army in August of 1782 under Capt William Skiles. I served at Lancater City guarding British Prisoners captured at the surrender of Cornwallis. After 2 Monthhs and 2 Weeks I was discharged in Lancaster PA in the last of October 1782.
